FUSION
“Art washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life”…Pablo Picasso
Ashcroft High School is committed to a holistic approach to education. We help facilitate and promote, develop and consolidate an integrated whole child with a whole-school approach to student learning and development, encompassing the intellectual, physical, social, emotional, moral, spiritual and the aesthetic. Learning is embraced within the context of the school and its community.
"Fusion" represents how students from Ashcroft High School explore and contemplate the world around them. Focusing on innovative and creative practices, students from Year 7 to Year 12 have been inspired by experiences, adventure, still life, landscapes, self-exploration and family. From drawing and painting to collagraphs, sculpture and mixed media, this fusion of creativity examines how one responds to their world.
Ranging from the human form merging with the machine, printmaking that is inspired by the local environment, to serious issues surrounding coral bleaching and animal extinction……. Ashcroft High School pushes boundaries and helps discover relationships between humans and their wider world.
